XTACXTAC is born in June 2002 under another name : ATA (Advanced Tactical Application). It was first developed for internal use at Clan DGSE to improve trainings and teamplay. This tactical planner had actually improved clan's tactical knowledge of the game environments. The latest version of ATA was released for internal use in 2003. Then the project had deeply hibernated in hard drives for months.

We have tried to launch the project again in 2004 but ATA needed to be entirely recoded from scratch. That took months of work and internal tests. We were ready to write our first lines of code in Q2 2005. At this time the project took another name to avoid potential conflicts with a similar tool.

XTACXTAC is designed to be evolutive and compatible with any game. It works online and offline to give FPS, RTS, MMORPG and paintball teams high-end features in one tactical planning tool : create, edit and share from the simpliest to the most complex tactics with simplicity. XTAC actually helps in team coordination and improves performances in ladders and tournaments.
